Throughout the year, the Tunica County Chamber of Commerce & Main Street Association host a variety of special events ranging from parades to open houses and fun festivals, as well as numerous other community events.

Local festivals include:

  • Tunica Rivergate Festival

    April 17, 18 & 19, 2008. We're laid back in 2008 the Tunica Rivergate Festival is coming back family style featuring free live entertainment with Ruby Wilson "Queen of Beale Street" singing the Blues on Friday night sponsored by the Fitz Casino & Hotel, Sorghum Hill Blue Grass band on Saturday afternoon 1pm and 3pm at Tate Log Cabin sponsored by Harrah’s Entertainment, and wrapping up Saturday Night with Sweetwater Jade 6 – 8pm sponsored by Sam’s Town. Carnival (THURSDAY Night wristband Night), Clowns, Train Rides, backyard barbecuing (Blind judging on Saturday), Tunica Idol Contest Saturday morning, Running of the HOGS, Studebaker Car Show,  Crawfish Alley opens Thursday Night 7pm with their yearly Mudbug fest in their unique down on the Bayou corner of the Festival.  New attraction also this year is Arts & Crafts with over 100 vendors expected.    Hot Air Balloon Rides.

    A fun filled weekend brought to you by the Town of Tunica, Tunica County Chamber of Commerce, Tunica Convention & Visitors Bureau, Casinos and area businesses.

  • Fourth of July Children’s Parade.
  • Gospel Music Festival. Held annually during the first weekend in October, the Gospel Music Festival features a variety of live music from gospel choirs, tasty food and fun games and activities.
  • Delta Day Festival. The festival celebrates the history of the Delta and features arts, crafts, collectibles and more originating in the Delta. The festival takes place annually in the late fall and features live music, children’s activities, mouth-watering food and much more.
  • Christmas Open House. Every November the shops in the Town of Tunica open up for a Christmas Open House. Visitors can browse the shops, listen to carolers, visit with Santa and take horse-drawn carriage rides.

Other special events throughout the year include weekly events at Battle Arena and a wide variety of special exhibits at the local museum, including book signings, visiting artists and opera.
