Retirees will find plenty to do in Tunica County. The Town of Tunica, and the Tunica County Chamber of Commerce collaborate to offer about 50 community events each year. In addition to the many special events, Tunica is home to two Rotary clubs, a Lion’s Club, Women’s Club, bridge club, garden club and Mahjong club, as well as a variety of senior citizens' groups. The Tunica Connoisseurs Club, a wine tasting group, remains a favorite activity among the locals.
Tunica has a well-developed spiritual community. The churches work closely with one another to provide for the citizens in the county. And there are ample opportunities for retirees to get involved in the local community. Many churches organize volunteer opportunities for their members. Individuals can also volunteer at Tunica County’s several community centers to assist with after-school programs, literacy and cultural activities, and at the Tunica Nursing Home.
